Meet and Network: Vendor Day in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Defense (U.S. DOD)

AmCham-Jordan’s recent event under the title of “Vendor Day” with Regional Contracting Center – Operation Inherent Resolve (RCC-OIR) and Theater Contracting Center – Southwest Asia (TCC-SWA), with over 130 private companies in attendance.

The conference focused on attracting companies to compete for U.S. Government business and emphasizing the transparent nature of the U.S. Government procurement process. The increase in vendor base will create greater competition, ultimately resulting in conducting business that is within the best interest of the Government.

The American Chamber of Commerce in Jordan (AmCham-Jordan) in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Defense (U.S. DOD) held its Vendor Day – Meet and Network event to assist local businesses in obtaining the necessary registrations to conduct business with the US government.

The objective of the event was to hear about the upcoming business opportunities with the U.S. Government, solicitation requirements, information about the locations where contracting support is needed, in addition to system registration and invoicing.

Mr. Samer S. Judeh, Chairman of AmCham-Jordan, welcomed the attendees and an overview about the JCCS was given, followed by an overview of the NAGE/SPOT and the Invoicing Issues as given by WAWF.

Members of AmCham-Jordan and companies interested in working with the DoD organizations had the opportunity to engage with DoD procurement offices and learn about the contracting opportunities, acquisition requirements and process.
