Annual 2019 “Year in Review” Gala Dinner.

Under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Tareq Hammouri, Minister of Industry, Trade & Supply and in honor of H.E. Karen Sasahara, Chargé d’Affaires, at the U.S. Embassy in Amman, who was represented by Deputy Chief of Mission Mike Hankey. AmCham – Jordan held its annual 2019 “Year in Review” Gala Dinner.

AmCham – Jordan Chairman Eng. Mohammed Bataineh welcomed attendees and highlighted in his address the organization’s achievements that contributed to growth in exports to the U.S as well as, the importance of this year which marks 20 years since establishment of AmCham – Jordan & the signing of the FTA between Jordan and the U.S.

“Over 20 companies have benefited from AmCham – Jordan’s services and Programs. Indeed, Jordan’s exports to the U.S. ave increased by almost 10% in 2019 compared to 2018. These figures reflect high interest and the important value of the commercial partnerships between our two countries.”

During the gala dinner, Mike Hankey Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Jordan, shed light on the importance of the U.S.- Jordan trade agreement saying “The U.S.-Jordan FTA is an essential part of our relationship. Our economic engagement will continue to be critical component of our overall bilateral relationship.”

Giving the floor to AmCham – Jordan’s CEO Ms. Rose Alissi were she gave a detailed presentation on the activities and programs implemented during the year, reflecting them in numbers to showcase on the ground achievements carried off by Amcham – Jordan.

Amongst the attendees were H.E. Mothanna Gharaibeh, H.E. Wessam Rabadi , Chairs of the Jordan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, British Ambassador to Jordan H.E. Edward Oakden, as well representatives from the business community.
