Virtual Education Fair; Featuring U.S. Education Institutions

In partnership with the U.S. Commercial Service at the U.S. Embassy in Jordan, AmCham-Jordan held a ‘semi-virtual’ U.S. Education Fair, featuring 6 U.S. educational institutions joining virtually and more than 10 Jordanian educational institutions in-person at the AmCham-Jordan offices. 

The U.S. educational institutions included Alma College, California State University – San Bernardino, Duquesne University, Elon University, Pittsburg State University, and Winder University, where they delivered a series of interactive presentations highlighting key programs and reasons on why to consider studying in the U.S.

Ms. Raghad Alkhojah, AmCham-Jordan’s CEO along with Ms. Janee Pierre-Louis Senior Commercial Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Jordan, started the event by welcoming those who were joining virtually and those in-person.

Giving the lead to the Consular Section at the U.S. Embassy in Jordan to discuss the process of applying for a U.S. student Visa followed by a presentation given by the Publics affairs Section, introducing the education in the U.S. and the opportunities students may have, as well as stating the Student Exchange Programs to the attending Jordanian educational institution’s counselors and advisors.

The event offered an excellent opportunity for the Jordanian educational institution to learn more about accredited U.S. schools and to up-level the educational opportunities available to Jordanian students.
