Advocate Lana Nimri
Highly skilled and experienced Lawyer and Consultant with over 18 years of national and international experience. Member of the Jordan Bar Association since 2000. Holds a LLB (J.D.) from the University of Jordan and a LLM from Durham University in UK.
Currently working as Legal Advisor, Head of Jordan-U.S .Free Trade Agreement Unit (Trade, Investment and Policy) at AmCham-Jordan.
Prior positions include working for USAID economic development projects, and the Government of Jordan on EU funded economic partnership activities focusing on SME development and trade enhancement. Experience providing consultation services locally and regionally for GIZ, JCI, ILO, EBRD, ASI in Palestine, UNCTAD in Yemen, and the Euro-Mediterranean partnership. Trained Mediator and a legal translation (A/E).
Active in civil society, Lana is the founder and President of the Jordan Better Workplace Association (JBWA), an NGO that works to promote human rights, rule of law and labor relations development at the employee and enterprise level. JBWA has been successful in se-curing grants from the donor community to implement its projects.
