Export Credit Guarantee Program: USDA FAS GSM 102

AmCham-Jordan in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy in Jordan and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) held a meeting under the title of “Export Credit Guarantee Program: USDA FAS GSM 102” at the St. Regis Amman.
With main aim of raising awareness about the tool for boosting food and agricultural Jordanian imports and to explore the agricultural infrastructure investment, the meeting was attended by the banking sector in Jordan, in addition to companies working with food and crops importing and exporting.
Mr. Samer Judeh, AmCham-Jordan’s Chairman, started the meeting by giving welcoming remarks followed by a quick brief about the meeting’s main aim and the program’s importance. Followed by, Mr. Timothy Hunt, Financial Analyst, at the Credit Programs Division, explaining the details and values of the ‘Credit Guarantee program’ as an underutilized tool that will benefit Jordanian importers and their business partners in the U.S., as well as the Jordanian banking sector.
During the meeting, the GSM-102 program participants were identified and explained, as well as the benefits and the potential program guarantee fees. Followed by a Q/A session discussing the GSM Transaction, as well as the approved banks in the U.S. and the MENA region.
