Doing Business with DOD and U.S. Government Technical Workshop in collaboration with Amideast

Amman- Jordan – 2nd of February, 2022

The American Chamber of Commerce in Jordan, organized a technical workshop in collaboration with Amideast- Jordan to support local companies to secure the proper registrations to successfully do business with the U.S. government on February 2, 2021at the Sheraton Hotel- Amman.

The event was held as AmCham- Jordan’s follow- up workshop, that was in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration, the U.S. Commercial Service and United States Armed Forces, on the occasion of the World Industry Day 2021.

Raghad AlKhoja, CEO of the American Chamber of Commerce in Jordan, opened with welcoming remarks followed by Mr. David Lazaro, the Senior Manager for Training & partnerships at Amideast- Jordan.

During the event, Mr. David Lazaro started with an opening session about Account/ Registration on SAM.gov followed by a session on Creating a DUNS number for businesses as well as Creating CAGE\NCAGE IDs, to assist companies in successfully bidding for tenders with the DoD, or other U.S. govt agencies which included a detailed presentation and discussion on the processes of acquisitions for supplies and services, acquisitions for construction and government purchase card procurement.
