AmCham-Jordan & Muasher Group Hotel Companies sign a Partnership Agreement
Amcham2021-04-08T08:29:49+00:00AmCham-Jordan and the Muasher Group of hotel companies, chaired by Mr. Nadim Muasher, which own the Marriott Hotels in Amman, Dead Sea, and Petra, and the Sheraton Hotel in Amman, Jordan, sign a Partnership Agreement.
The agreement was signed by Ms. Rose Alissi, AmCham-Jordan CEO, and Mr. Philip Papadopoulos, Marriott Multi-Property General Manager.
AmCham-Jordan “For more U.S.-Jordan Business” acts as the representative of American companies in Jordan and a platform for policy advocacy, networking, and growing bilateral business across both countries.
The agreement outlines that the Muasher Group will be the exclusive partners and representatives of the hospitality sector for AmCham-Jordan, and a strategic partner for all activities carried out by AmCham on a local, regional and international level.
It is worth mentioning that Amman Marriott Hotel is the second hotel operated by Marriott International (MI) in the Middle East, and one of the first to open its doors outside of North America. At the time, Marriott International had a total of less than 100 properties worldwide and only two in the MENA region; today MI operate over 7,500 hotels globally with 264 in the MENA region. The Sheraton Amman and was the first Starwood Group Hotel in Jordan at the time – (Starwood was acquired by Marriottt in 2016). Along with the Dead Sea Marriott Resort & Spa and the Petra Marriott Hotel, all four hotels and their respective owning companies have played an active role in Jordan’s tourism sector through attracting tourists from all over the world and promoting Jordan as a desirable destination.

At the end of the virtual signing ceremony, Ms. Alissi expressed her appreciation for the group, and in particular the Marriott Dead Sea, for their proactive response and effort in being one of the first hotels in Jordan to open their doors for all Jordanians that flew back to their homeland from overseas to get quarantined during the first lockdown in March 2020.
