On August 12th, The American Chamber in Commerce in Jordan hosted an Executive Lunch welcoming H.E. Paul Malik the Charge’ d’Affaires at the US Embassy in Amman, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel.
Amongst the attendees were; H.E, Muthanna Gharaibeh, Minister of ICT, H.E. Lina Annab, Minister of Tourism & Antiquities, representatives from the American Embassy as well as an assembly of Jordan’s top private business owners.
In his address CDA Paul Malik stated “AmCham Jordan is a key partner to the United States and Jordan in seeing that business between our countries can help lift all ships with a rising tide… FTA has much broader benefits than the simple trade relationship: it has also helped improve environmental and labor standards in Jordan, promote job skills and employment, particularly for women…The efforts of the Embassy, AmCham and Government of Jordan are key to improving Jordan’s economic prospects, empowering the private sector, and making it a more welcoming environment for Americans to do business with Jordanians.”
